Miss Nobody
That's who I am tonight in the beautiful grand world of published and self-published authors and poets.
But in the world of my friends at least I am Miss Somebody. They know of and look forward to my works. If you read this, thank you. 💜
I'm no Miss Big Shot (randomly thinking of "The Outsiders"—one of my favorite books), no idea if I'll ever be, and that's okay.
At the very least I strive to be a somebody whose work could reach the someones.
The real joy and fulfillment is to be reaped from my own sowing. (Note-to-self: Never lose sight of that.)
To fellow nobodies, somebodies, everybodies:
I'm Kate J. Acosta. Or Kja for short. I've been in an on and off relationship with writing for over twenty years. I've written handfuls of stories but have never published one. I plan to change that with a book I've been slowly working on since 2020. Eventually, haha, I say with a sheepish smile and shrug.
